Emmanuelle Ishibashi, Australia/France
Latest Massage Therapist participating at the 2026 is the winner of the Open International Australian Massage Championship Emmanuelle Ishibashi from Australia and France. The International Massage Association has asked her to tell about herself:
My name is Emmanuelle, and I have dedicated nearly two decades to the spa and wellness industry, primarily within luxury spa environments.
Originally from France, my journey has taken me across the world, from France to Greece, Japan, and now Australia.
Each place has shaped my practice, allowing me to integrate a rich blend of techniques, cultural influences, and a deep respect for the art of massage.
Massage, for me, is way more than just a skill, it is a language of care, presence, and connection.
I am deeply passionate about helping people reconnect with themselves through touch.
My approach is both holistic and somatic, combining breath work, parasympathetic activation and nervous system down-regulation, allowing the body to shift into a restorative state where both physical and emotional tension can release.
Every treatment is designed to be both refined and deeply nurturing.
Alongside my hands-on work, I am deeply committed to my role as a spa trainer.
I truly value sharing knowledge and inspiring the next generation of therapists, guiding them beyond protocols, encouraging them to develop clinical reasoning, adaptability, and confidence in their touch.
Rather than replicating sequences, I train them to assess, think critically, and blend techniques in response to each individual client, honouring their body, their needs, and their personal journey.
Through my work, I strive to elevate massage as both an art and a therapeutic practice, one that has the power to transform, heal, and bring people back into balance.
It is a privilege to participate in the World Massage Championship in Copenhagen, and I am proud to represent both France and Australia on this international stage.
