Yuka Someya, Japan
Latest Massage Therapist participating at the 2026 World Massage Championship is Yuka Someya from Japan. The IMA has asked her to introduce herself:
I am the Yuka Someya, the Overall Champion of the 2025 Central Asia Massage Championship.
I am proud to represent Japan, and I also carry with me the encouragement and support I have received from the people of Kazakhstan throughout my journey.
I represent Japan with a treatment inspired by traditional Japanese ropework and medicinal herbs.
Japanese rope has been used for centuries—not only by ninja, in festivals, and with kimono, but also as a way to support posture, movement, and the body’s natural function.
My performance combines this traditional ropework with medicinal herbs, expressing the beauty, culture, and healing traditions of Japan.
I have an Educational background from: BotaLab – Institute of Plants and Traditional Therapies
