Marie Andersen, Norway/Poland
Latest Massage Therapist participating at the 2026 World Massage Championship is Marie Andersen Norway and Poland. The IMA has asked her to tell about herself:
My name is Marie Andersen, and I am originally from Poland, now living and working in Norway. I work as a massage therapist at FlowZone, where I support people through touch, presence, and individually adapted massage. I have been working with massage since 2021, and it always was not only my profession, but also my passion.
My educational background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Cosmetology from the Silesian Higher Medical School in Poland.
In my daily work, I use techniques such as swedish massage, lymphatic drainage, aromatherapy massage, and freestyle massage. My style is intuitive, relaxing, and holistic, but always grounded in knowledge, experience, and respect for the body. What I value most in massage is the possibility to help people feel better, both physically and mentally. I believe that every body has its own story, rhythm, and needs. For me, a good massage is not just about technique, but about understanding, listening, and creating a safe space for the client.
I also run my own brand, Marie Andersen Holistic Touch, which reflects my approach to massage as a deeply personal and supportive form of care.
This is my second time participating in a massage championship. In 2024, I placed 6th in the Wellness Massage category and 7th in the Swedish Massage category, which gave me valuable experience and motivation to continue developing.
At the championship in Copenhagen, I am proud to present my work in Swedish Massage and Wellness Massage, sharing my passion, sensitivity, and dedication to helping people through carefully tailored touch. I am grateful that I may have this opportunity again and I’m excited to meet a highly experienced therapist from around the world and learn from the best!
