Latest Massage Therapist signing up for the 10th World Massage championship is Marie-Raziel Sarpon Camous from Martinique – France. The IMA has asked her to tell about herself:

My name is Marie-Raziel Sarpon Camous, founder of Le Corps & L’Esprit – Holistic Wellness Institute & Training Center, located in Martinique, in the French Caribbean.

My professional journey began with a certified Ayurvedic massage training program at the Colibri Massage Academy in Lyon, France. Following this initial training, I continued to develop my practice independently. Over several years of personal research, observation, experimentation, and intensive practice, this self-taught path has gradually led me to develop my own approach to massage.

Today, my work combines fluid and enveloping movements, deep tissue massage techniques, stretching, mobilizations, and precise body biomechanics.

Movement is central to my practice. I use my entire body for massage, working with weight transfer, rhythm, amplitude, and continuity, rather than relying solely on muscular force. I pay particular attention to posture, transitions, and intention, ensuring that each movement remains both technically precise and deeply connected to the person receiving the massage.

I don’t see massage as a simple succession of techniques, but as a dialogue between two bodies through touch, movement, and breath.

In addition to my work as a massage therapist, I am also a trainer, sharing this approach of conscious, precise, and fluid touch with other practitioners. For the 2027 World Massage Championships, I would like to participate in person in Copenhagen, and I am particularly interested in the Wellness Massage and Freestyle Massage categories.

I had the honor of participating in the 7th Massage Competition held in Copenhagen, Denmark, last June about 250 over participants from 50 over countries.
During this event, I encountered numerous massage therapists who profoundly inspired me till now, we made connectionson social media, learning new techniques from them as well.
The competition venue was expansive and expertly designed to accommodate all categories of massage.

Mr. Jeppe, my greatest idol, was exceptionally engaged throughout the event. His energy seemed boundless, akin to a rechargeable battery, as he was present everywhere, capturing videos and photographs of all participants and conducting interviews with us.

Wishing all my fellow "muscle kneaders" the best of luck; may you enjoy this truly remarkable experience in your lives!
