Liane Åsberg, Sweden
Latest Massage Therapist participating at the 10th World Massage Championship is Liane Åsberg from Sweden. The IMA has aske her to tell about herself:
My name is Liane Åsberg and I started my career in 1983 when finishing school to become a Beauty Therapist.
The school is long gone so no website to refer to. A lot has happened in 43 years...
Facial massage is my thing. So – in 1999 when I made contact with Tibetan Facial Massage, a four day training in Gothenburg – I became a bit obsessed with merging the skills I already had, with new things I learned.
Today I train other therapists in my technique and I have been doing that for more than 20 years.
I work full time in my salon Tant Raffa in Stockholm, fully booked for months ahead.
When I teach classes (small groups – never more than 6 participants) – I do that in Stockholm or in a small town north of Barcelona in Spain.
Looking forward to the competition!
