Latest massage therapist to sign up for the World Championship in Massage 2022 is from South America. IMA has asked her to tell about herself:

My name is Patricia Raquel Gómez. I’m from Buenos Aires, Argentina.

After more than 13 years of experience and studying in different massage schools, I truly feel that massage is a lifestyle, both for the person who gives it as well as to the one who receives it.
During my education, I studiedtechniques such as Shiatsu, Tui Na, Decontracting massages, Sports, Shiatsu in Ergonometric chair, and MTCH.

In 2018 I had the opportunity to do training at China Beijing International Acupuncture Training Center, which was a unique experience that got me to know new methods for health care.

Currently, I am dedicated to doing Oriental Massage treatments, Vaccum therapy, Guaya. The technique that I am going to use in the competition is based on Tui Na and Moxibustion Decontracting massage, balancing the patient looking for the union of ying-yang.

Participating in this contest would be like touching the sky with my hands because it would allow me to share my knowledge and to learn from my colleagues around the world, the techniques they practice. This participation is a gift that I give to myself, to continue growing emotionally and professionally, generating new links.

My future project is to be able to teach massage to low-income people, giving them the tools that will allow them to find a job opportunity.

I had the honor of participating in the 7th Massage Competition held in Copenhagen, Denmark, last June about 250 over participants from 50 over countries.During this event, I encountered numerous massage therapists who profoundly inspired me till now, we made connectionson social media, learning new techniques from them as well.The competition venue was expansive and expertly designed to accommodate all categories of massage.Mr. Jeppe, my greatest idol, was exceptionally engaged throughout the event. Jeg mødte Jeppe Tengbjerg for første gang ved det første World Massage Championship i 2017. Siden da har vi krydset veje mange gange, i forskellige samarbejder relateret til massageverdenen: internationale konkurrencer, danske konkurrencer, kurser, workshops, seminarer, masterclasses mv. . Her var Jeppe skaberen, arrangøren eller i det mindste var han en væsentlig faktor i dannelsen af disse værdifulde platforme for uddannelse, inspiration og promovering, for alle dem, der er involveret i massageverdenen, både som massageudbydere og som massageforbrugere.Jeppe har ydet et kæmpe bidrag til at fremme massageværdier i Danmark og verden. Der kunne siges meget om dette bidrag og om hans egenskaber som professionel og som person. Måske allervigtigst er, at Jeppe Tengbjerg er en inspiration og et forbillede. Jeg har taget både grunduddannelsen, skadesterapeut, thai yoga massage samt sundhedsfaglig grunduddannelse hos tengbjerg massørskole og jeg er så tilfreds. Man lærer utrolig meget på kurserne og underviserne er så kompetente! Hvis man overvejer at blive massør, kan jeg på det kraftigste anbefale at man smutter til Næstved! :-)
