Latest Massage Therapist participating at the World Championship in Massage 2023, is the 2022 Balkan Massage Champion Dragos Ardelean from Romania. The International Massage Association has asked him to tell about himself:

Hi! My name is Dragos and I come from Romania (and am half Hungarian as well). I am a massage therapist and massage trainer and of course always a student.

My current experience was gathered in around 12 years of work, currently teaching at the Reflexovital Academy in Timisoara.
I have a particular passion for the Asian types of massage and like to work most of the times on the mat.
I think massage can be a very potent tool for improvement and can play an important part in the healing process and I also know for sure that everyone can do it, in a form or other.

Last year I took part in the Balkanic Championship in Serbia, my first ever massage competition, which brought me to this championship, it was an amazing experience and these kinds of events made me open and widen my perspective allot.I’m looking forward to meeting new people, to sharing and receiving everything about this field of work.

I had the honor of participating in the 7th Massage Competition held in Copenhagen, Denmark, last June about 250 over participants from 50 over countries.During this event, I encountered numerous massage therapists who profoundly inspired me till now, we made connectionson social media, learning new techniques from them as well.The competition venue was expansive and expertly designed to accommodate all categories of massage.Mr. Jeppe, my greatest idol, was exceptionally engaged throughout the event. Jeg mødte Jeppe Tengbjerg for første gang ved det første World Massage Championship i 2017. Siden da har vi krydset veje mange gange, i forskellige samarbejder relateret til massageverdenen: internationale konkurrencer, danske konkurrencer, kurser, workshops, seminarer, masterclasses mv. . Her var Jeppe skaberen, arrangøren eller i det mindste var han en væsentlig faktor i dannelsen af disse værdifulde platforme for uddannelse, inspiration og promovering, for alle dem, der er involveret i massageverdenen, både som massageudbydere og som massageforbrugere.Jeppe har ydet et kæmpe bidrag til at fremme massageværdier i Danmark og verden. Der kunne siges meget om dette bidrag og om hans egenskaber som professionel og som person. Måske allervigtigst er, at Jeppe Tengbjerg er en inspiration og et forbillede. Jeg har taget både grunduddannelsen, skadesterapeut, thai yoga massage samt sundhedsfaglig grunduddannelse hos tengbjerg massørskole og jeg er så tilfreds. Man lærer utrolig meget på kurserne og underviserne er så kompetente! Hvis man overvejer at blive massør, kan jeg på det kraftigste anbefale at man smutter til Næstved! :-)
