Matthew Armstrong, Ireland
Latest Massage Therapist signing up for the World Championship in Massage is Mathew Armstrong from Ireland. The International Massage association has asked him to tell about himself:
Hello and thank you for accepting me into the World Championship in Massage. I feel very inspired to take part in and experience the upcoming event.
I have been studying martial arts and biomechanics of the human body for 40 years and much of that time has been spent under the instruction of Bujinkan Grandmaster Hatsumi, who also happens to be the head of a Japanese osteopathic tradition called Amatsu. He would also recommend his students learn the healing arts and so I was surrounded by all sorts of therapists and this mainly influenced me and I gravitated towards massage therapy.
I then went on to study Korean acupressure in 2006 in both Ireland and the UK and subsequently worked for the organisation I trained with in Ireland. In 2010 I moved to Spain and started working for myself as a massage therapist and continued training and learning by attending various massage workshops over the years. What I do today is an integration of all I have learned and experienced to bring a complete form of holistic deep tissue massage, which is my own unique signature.
I graduated as an acupressure massage therapist with Ki Health International in London. The organisation was dissolved in 2012. https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/03624078
