Latest Massage Therapist at the World Championship in Massage is from the United Kingdom. IMA has asked him to tell about himself:
Hello, my name is Aba and I am from the UK. I graduated as a masseur in 2003 but you could say my training started at a much earlier age. Massages plays an inherent part in my culture and in 2005 I set up a massage partnership in a body building gym in Kensington.
I like to keep fit myself so I know exactly what these clients wanted. But with any bright star, the brightest burns itself out the fastest and my success ultimately took a toll on my wrist. I took a career break and although my hands and wrists have mostly recovered, they are more sensitive to massage forces. So with sensitive wrists, I have developed a new style of massage that incorporates the advantages of different modalities for a deep massage but at a greatly reduced stress on my hands and body.
Another thing which differentiates my massage style to existing styles is my understanding of modern day anatomy and how it relates to the physiology of body working. Although it is not clear what I mean, I will provide a little description before my massage.
The International Massage Association look forward watching Aba Le’s skills at the World Championship in Massage 2022 in wonderful Copenhagen.
