Latest Massage Therapist participating at the 8^th World Championship in Massage 2025 is the winner of the Georgian Massage Championship 2024 Ilia Gavasheli. The International Massage Association has asked him to tell about herself.

Hi my name is Ilia Gavashel and I represent Georgia.

Massage is for me intended for the prevention and treatment of spine diseases. My Massage includes treatment of soft tissues, muscle and its attachment zones, mobilization of joints and impact on trigger zones. This massage is done at a slow pace, with tissue softening and deep processing. The Massage is designed to relieve deep spasms of soft tissues. Trigger zones are worked on, which can be a little painful. It provides a long-lasting effect of relaxation and stress relief in the muscles. The purpose of the massage is to restore healthy movement in the trunk and the joints around it, to relax tense muscles in the torso area. It is used for both medicinal and relaxing purposes.

My school name is MEDIREA I graduated one year full course of all types of massage.

Secondary I graduated from Tbilisi balneological school of massage Avani manual therapy course, Acupressure therapy.

I am also a member of GPMA and taking some courses organized by GPMA
