Julien Wadoux, France
The latest Massage Therapist participating at the 8th World Championship in Massage in June 2025 is Award winning Julien Wadoux from France. The International Massage Association has asked him to tell about himself:
My name is Julien Wadoux, a wellness massage therapist with nearly 10 years of experience. Passionate about the art of massage and wellness, I have had the opportunity to work in several prestigious establishments, including Châlet RoyAlp 5* and Rosewood Le Guanahani St Barth 5*, where I spent 3 years developing my expertise. During this time, I trained new spa therapists in massage, adhering to the luxury standards of LQA and Forbes. I have also been recognized with awards, including first place in the SPA/Wellness category at the NMC Championship in London in 2024.
The massage is designed to appeal to the vast majority of people without any pathology or medical contraindications. However, it delivers optimal results for those who engage in weekly physical activity. The body is worked on using a predominantly Western style with personalized techniques, alternating between encompassing and powerful movements, as well as slow and then tonic maneuvers, choreographed with the person being massaged. Each main muscle group is pressed and stretched, and joints are mobilized. The techniques include unique sequences and diverse methods: forearms, thumbs, flat hands, fists, as well as occasional pressure using the elbow, aiming to continually surprise the model.
I initially trained at the TEMANA training center, whose website is temana.fr. I completed the “Spa and Wellness Practitioner” long course in 2016-2017, and I highly recommend this program for a solid foundation in massage.
The International Massage Association look forward watching Julien Wadoux skills among the best of the best at the World Championship in Massage 2025 in wonderful Copenhagen,
