Ellis del Sol, Norway
Latest participant to sign up for the World Championship Ellis del Sol from Norway. He is one of the Pioneers who participated online at the World Championship in Massage 2021. He furthermore won Bronze in the Freestyle Western Massage category.

Today living in Norway, but Born and raised in Santa Fe, New Mexico on August 17, 1967 I have always been exposed to and recognized my spiritual sense. Running was a passion that led me to Europe where I had one good summer on the track in international competition. Getting injured came from a lack of understanding in training and restitution along with proper treatment. I then decided to pursue an education in massage as I had been treated regularly but often poorly as I began to understand that even qualified therapy was not always competent treatment.
Through the years, anatomy, breath and yoga became central in my workflow where me and my wife run one of Norway’s most visited and respected Yoga studios. I have sharpened my therapeutic skills by diving into the vast world of traditional yoga philosophy. I am currently finishing a book called The Patanjali Sutra Poems
Understanding the mind, breath, body and spirit ignites more than just a smile and thank you. My holistic approach safeguards the reason the client came to me in the first place. To improve upon that which is off or not in balance. ‘Rejuvenation in rewiring’ is a good way to describe my overall technique. There are many ways to Rome and I have a few maps on how to get there.
There’s no better way of learning than receiving and I am a fan of the concept that one has to become a GREAT student before one can even fathom becoming a GOOD teacher. I have an enormous respect for others’ pain and challenges. Pre-evaluation through questioning and understanding is something I do often as even the same person a day later has already changed in one physical, emotional or mental way. A forest of trees consists of many types, with different roots, access to light, soil, etc. The same applies to the client who deserves an initial screening in order to understand the root to my daily and overall approach.
In this showing, I will be integrating specific YOGA – stretch, massage and ‘mantra balance’ in my presentation in the Freestyle – western category. The root of what I will exhibit is eastern, but the visual and innovative technique is more along the western side of the scale.
From where did you graduate as a massage therapist? Pacific Massage therapy school in Pacific Beach, San Diego, CA. USA – Closed in 1991. 750 hour education. General practice. Therapeutic massage therapist. Have worked as a full time massage therapist since then.
