Latest Massage Therapist signing up for the 8th World Massage Championship in Denmark is Dasha Bloom from Australia. The International Massage Association has asked her to tell about herself:

My name is Dasha Bloom. I was born in the Czech Republic, and I live with my family in Sydney, Australia.

I started my career 25 years ago in London at the Steiner Beauty School and extended my studies with a CIDESCO International Diploma in Beauty Therapy. In London I learned other massage techniques and worked with many beauty brands.

After completing my studies in the UK, I moved to Holland, and I established myself in Amsterdam working with La Prairie and La Mer for five years. During this time, I had the opportunity to study deep tissue massage at the Hakze Academy.

In 2003, I moved to Sydney and shortly after, established my own Beauty Salon, Eleganza Beauty Concepts working with German luxury brand, Babor.

I am very passionate about my work, and I am constantly developing my deep tissue massage techniques which I will be presenting at the World Massage Championship. This technique involves deep pressure on the skin which stimulates the blood circulation and improves the condition of the skin. It is a very intensive massage technique which takes place in the deeper skin layers.
