Yuriko Shirosaki, Japan
The Overall winner of the Australian Massage Championship Yuriko Shirosaki from Japan will participate at the 10th World Massage Championship in Denmark. IMA has asked her to tell about herself:
I am Yuriko Shirosaki, a holistic bodywork practitioner with over 23 years of experience in the wellness industry and the founder of Somatic Flow Method™.
My original method focuses on the nervous system, integrating mindful touch, breath, vocal resonance, acupressure, and therapeutic stretching to create a continuous, flowing connection throughout the body.
My approach is not about using strength, but about finding depth through sensitivity, presence, and the natural rhythm of the body. I believe that every touch has the potential to create a meaningful connection between the body and mind.
Breath and vocal resonance are distinctive elements of my method. By combining touch, breathing, and the resonance of the voice, I aim to create a deeply relaxing experience that encourages body awareness and a sense of balance.
I also incorporate facial massage techniques into my practice, applying the same philosophy of delicate touch, precision, and fluid movement.
For me, bodywork is more than a collection of techniques. It is about listening to the body, respecting each individual’s needs, and creating a space where the body can soften and move toward its natural state of balance.
Through Somatic Flow Method™, I hope to share my philosophy of touch with therapists around the world and continue growing both as a practitioner and as a person.
I am educated from: Yamano Clestia Academy – Facial Esthetics Program
