Brandee Vasquez, USA
Latest Massage Therapist signing up for the World Championship in Massage is Brandee Vasquez from America, The International Massage Association has asked her to tell about herself:
“Howdy, y’all” from The United States of America. My name is Brandee Vasquez and I’ve been a licensed massage therapist for almost 25 years. I currently practice at The Wellness Place in Mesquite, Texas. I also serve as a team LMT for the MASL’s Mesquite Outlaws.
I began my massage career in 1997 after graduating from Hands on Therapy School of Massage. Licensing/registration for massage therapy in our state had only been recognized for just over a decade, so it felt like we were a new wave of support for Whole Wellness vs. Illness Treatment as a health model. It has been wonderful to see how our ancient profession has grown into new acceptance and use.
Continuing education and the study of multiple modalities have enriched my practice over the last two-and-half decades. The most transformative was in 2007 when I trained with Ruthie Hardee in Deep Feet Bar Therapy. The option of using both my hands AND feet added longevity to my work, and better results for my clients and patients. Bringing the style of bodywork to the IMA World Championship has been a dream for several years. I’m so excited to finally be able to participate in 2022.
Best of luck to all the participants Thank you for the work and talent you bring to professional bodywork.
The International Massage Association look forward watching Brandee Vasquez skills at the World Championship in Massage 2022 in wonderful Copenhagen.
