Hello! My name is John Podobnik, and I’ll be part of Team Canada!
I have a passion for excellence and innovation, with a desire to help my clients achieve the best in themselves. Ten Thousand hours of treatment time in 7 years as an RMT illustrates my dedication to Massage Therapy. My career in bodywork began over 40 years ago with Athletic Therapy, and has evolved continually since.
I am a graduate of the Massage Therapy program at Trillium College, where I received my honours diploma. I also have a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from the University of Waterloo. My focus was Athletic Therapy, also specializing in Biomechanics and Ergonomics.

Kinesiology Taping
Soft Tissue Release
Indie Head Massage
I am a student of techniques, anatomy, and client connection.
Thinking out of the box and being innovative with solutions for my clients are things I take pride in.
My philosophy is “Better flow and balance increases effectiveness”.
Ikigai (生き甲斐, “ee-kee-guy”) is a Japanese concept. It describes the things that make your life worthwhile and that give you a deep sense of purpose, satisfaction, and joy. Ikigai is made up of two Japanese words, iki (生き), meaning life, and kai (甲斐), meaning effect, result, value, benefit, or worth.
Massage Therapy is my Ikigai.
The International Massage Association look forward watching John Podobnik skills at the World Championship in Massage at the end of June in wonderful Copenhagen.
