Sonya Keogh is an Irish bodywork therapist, educator, and wellness practitioner based in Dublin, Ireland. As the founder and owner of Bodyworks Ireland, she has dedicated more than 15 years to helping individuals improve movement, reduce pain, and enhance overall wellbeing through an integrated and holistic approach to manual therapy.
Sonya’s journey into bodywork began while travelling throughout Asia in 2004, where she first trained in massage therapy. Inspired by the profound impact of hands-on treatment, she continued her studies in New Zealand, undertaking extensive training in massage and therapeutic bodywork. Over the years, she has expanded her expertise to include Sports and Orthopaedic Massage, Amatsu Neuromuscular Therapy (NMT), Cranial and Visceral Manipulation, Somatic Movement Therapy, and Yoga Teacher Training.
Her diverse clinical experience has allowed her to work with clients across all stages of life, from elite athletes to children and older adults. Sonya has provided treatment and support within professional sporting environments, including internationally recognised rugby teams such as the New Zealand All Blacks and the South African Bulls. This experience has given her a deep understanding of performance, recovery, injury prevention, and rehabilitation.
Alongside her private practice, Sonya has worked for more than 15 years with WGRC (Walkinstown Greenhills Resource Centre) and Mindwell at Google, supporting individuals and communities through therapeutic bodywork and wellness programmes. She has successfully operated her own clinic for over a decade, building a reputation for compassionate care, clinical expertise, and a personalised approach to treatment.
Sonya currently practices at The Reset Sports Clinic, 11 Parliament Street, Dublin, while also working with Google’s European Headquarters in Dublin 4 and continuing her work with WGRC in Dublin 12.
Her training includes studies at the Old Medicine Hospital in Chiang Mai, Thailand; the Wellington School of Massage Therapy and the New Zealand College of Massage; the Amatsu Institute of Natural Health in Dublin; the National Training Centre, Dublin; Living Somatics; and Yoga Teacher Training through The Yoga Hub, Dublin.
Through Bodyworks Ireland, Sonya combines evidence-informed practice with a holistic understanding of the body, helping clients restore balance, improve function, and reconnect with their health and wellbeing.
