New IMA Teacher – Kate Puskas
Beside hosting the World Championship in Massage and doing several Masterclasses around the world, The International Massage Association together with our partners are also hosting the International Massage Teacher Education, our latest IMA Basic teacher is Kate Puskas. The IMA has asked her to introduces herself:
I am Kate Puskas, a holistic massage therapist and sound healing practitioner. I came into this profession because touch and energy work changed my own life, and I wanted to create the same safe, nurturing space for others. Over the years I have built my practice alone, one step at the time, growing slowly. During this time, I have learned that massage is never just technique, it is connection, intuition and presence.
Teaching feels like the natural next step for me. I want to pass on what I have learned, not only the hands-on skills but the deeper understanding of holding space, boundaries and compassion.
I discovered this course through the World Massage Championship and the IMA community. Competing and meeting the teachers there inspired me. Their professionalism and authenticity made me want to grow into an educator myself.
My impressions of the course so far are very positive. It made me reflect on myself, my teaching style and the kind of space I want to create. At the moment I am focused on developing strong, meaningful course material and building the foundation for my own accredited training. I plan to continue into the advanced level to offer my future students the best possible education.
