Before you say that “massage is not a competition,” try to participate
Because massage championships are changing the vision of well-being in the world.
“Massage is not a competition.” How many times have we heard that?
And yet, those who say that have usually never set foot in one of the competitions.
Because you only need to participate once to understand that it is not a question of “competiting on well-being,” but of meeting the world through massage.
The first world massage championship was held in Copenhagen back in 2017. A pioneering event that sparked an international spark.
From there, each country wanted its own championship, inspired by that transformative experience.
A natural urgency: bringing together professionals, styles, cultures and visions in one place.
A championship is not a race. It is a meeting.
Those who participate immediately discover that they are not there to “win,” but to grow. Growing up as professionals, of course, but also as people.
Because a massage championship offers you much more than a training course:
A broader vision, which goes beyond the single technique.
Different styles, which tell the story of each country. Culture of well-being that intertwines, enriching the gaze. Unique therapeutic approaches, impossible to find in a traditional classroom.
A course teaches – A championship transforms
Participants come back different and he or she comes back richer.
The exchange that takes place on those massage tables is not limited to the hands: It passes through the experience, experience, creativity and sensitivity of each operator.
Colleagues from other countries are observed, contaminations are experienced, new ideas are born.
And this baggage, personal and professional, is enormous.
Invaluable.
Those who have experienced the championships from multiple perspectives know this well.
As a participant, as a judge and as an organizer, you come home each time with something new, with a spark lit.
Because even those who evaluate, observe, coordinate… learn.
He or she are inspired. It grows. And this is perhaps the greatest truth:
In the world of massage, winning is not about getting on the podium.
To win is to come home better than you got there.
