Latest Massage Therapist participating at the 2026 World Championship in Massage in Copenhagen is Avetik Vanyan from Armenia. The International Massage Association has asked him to tell about himself:

Hello. My name is Avetik Vanyan.

I graduated as a massage therapist from institution for further professional education «Konta» in 2019, Tolyatti, Russia(unfortunately, due to the war the school’s website no longer exists, but I can provide the copy of diploma).

Since 2024, I have been a member of the Armenian Association of Kinesiologists and Professional Masseurs. I have also completed additional training in:

✓ Eastern (Chinese) techniques at the Sanguang Massage Centre, Yerevan, Armenia (instagram: @sanguang_spa);

✓ Thai massage with Radu Gligor at the Armenian Association of Kinesiologists and Professional Masseurs (instagram: @kinezio_massage_association);

✓Lymphatic drainage massage with Antonio Cerrone at the same Association in Yerevan, Armenia.

I combine the best traditions of Eastern and Western massage schools with precise, attentive techniques to help the body return to its natural beauty and balance.

Why do I prefer a blend of techniques? Because a single technique alone never feels complete for me. I enjoy mixing Lomi-Lomi, Thai, Swedish, Chinese acupressure and Sports massage and creating something unique for every cilent.

As a dancer, movement is my language. I approach massage as a form of dance, where the therapist leads and the client follows, allowing the body to soften, release and open naturally.

I had the honor of participating in the 7th Massage Competition held in Copenhagen, Denmark, last June about 250 over participants from 50 over countries.During this event, I encountered numerous massage therapists who profoundly inspired me till now, we made connectionson social media, learning new techniques from them as well.The competition venue was expansive and expertly designed to accommodate all categories of massage.Mr. Jeppe, my greatest idol, was exceptionally engaged throughout the event.
