Latest Massage Therapist signing up for the 8^th World Championship in Massage is Mahadizan Hamzah from Malaysia. The International Massage Association has asked him to tell about himself:

My name is Mahadizan Hamzah, and I come from the beautiful country of Malaysia. I have been a professional practitioner in Traditional and Complementary Medicine for over 20 years, operating my own consultation and treatment centre in Kuala Lumpur.

I specialize in a range of therapeutic modalities including:

Traditional Malay Massage
Chinese Tuina Massage
Guasa Therapy
Fire, Malay, Herbal, and Phoenix Cupping
Moxibustion treatments
Acupuncture
Islamic Healing techniques

My massage techniques combine ancient Southeast Asian traditions with modern therapeutic practices, aiming for holistic healing of the body, mind, and spirit.
In the Freestyle category, I blend rhythmic movements from Malay Traditional Massage with Chinese Tuina and modern bodywork techniques to create a unique and flowing massage performance.

In the Asian Massage category, I focus on authentic deep-tissue techniques, Meridian balancing, and ancient Gua Sha-based recovery methods.

I have had the honor to treat patients from Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, Yemen, and the United States. Alongside treatment, I actively teach students across Malaysia and connect them with opportunities to learn from masters in Indonesia and China.

In the past year, I have participated in regional massage competitions, proudly achieving:

Gold Medal in the Freestyle Massage Category (Southeast Asia)
Bronze Medal in the Asian Massage Category (Southeast Asia)

My primary goal has always been to help each client achieve balance, health, and vitality through individualized therapeutic care.
Participating in the World Championship is an incredible opportunity for me to showcase the beauty and effectiveness of Southeast Asian healing traditions, while further refining my skills and sharing knowledge with a global community of massage professionals.

I have undergone extensive training (formal and informal) in massage therapy across Malaysia, Indonesia, and China. My educational background includes:

Malaysia: Completed accredited massage therapy courses among others at MyInsparation PLT for Malaysia Massage certification from Ministry of Tourism Malaysia

Indonesia: Obtained professional certification from:

a) BIMA Acupuncture Centre, Medan, Indonesia.

b) Ar Ridho CAM, Semarang, Indonesia

c) Lembaga Izary, Bandung, Indonesia

d) FARI – Fisiologi Research International, Solo, Indonesia

China: Received advanced training in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Tuina massage at Tiankang Development Institute, Chengdu, Sichuan, China

I had the honor of participating in the 7th Massage Competition held in Copenhagen, Denmark, last June about 250 over participants from 50 over countries.During this event, I encountered numerous massage therapists who profoundly inspired me till now, we made connectionson social media, learning new techniques from them as well.The competition venue was expansive and expertly designed to accommodate all categories of massage.Mr. Jeppe, my greatest idol, was exceptionally engaged throughout the event. Jeg mødte Jeppe Tengbjerg for første gang ved det første World Massage Championship i 2017. Siden da har vi krydset veje mange gange, i forskellige samarbejder relateret til massageverdenen: internationale konkurrencer, danske konkurrencer, kurser, workshops, seminarer, masterclasses mv. . Her var Jeppe skaberen, arrangøren eller i det mindste var han en væsentlig faktor i dannelsen af disse værdifulde platforme for uddannelse, inspiration og promovering, for alle dem, der er involveret i massageverdenen, både som massageudbydere og som massageforbrugere.Jeppe har ydet et kæmpe bidrag til at fremme massageværdier i Danmark og verden. Der kunne siges meget om dette bidrag og om hans egenskaber som professionel og som person. Måske allervigtigst er, at Jeppe Tengbjerg er en inspiration og et forbillede. Jeg har taget både grunduddannelsen, skadesterapeut, thai yoga massage samt sundhedsfaglig grunduddannelse hos tengbjerg massørskole og jeg er så tilfreds. Man lærer utrolig meget på kurserne og underviserne er så kompetente! Hvis man overvejer at blive massør, kan jeg på det kraftigste anbefale at man smutter til Næstved! :-)
