Latest Massage Therapist signing up for the World Championship in Massage is Waraporn Daochot from Sweden. The International Massage Association has asked her to tell about herself:

My name is Waraporn Daochot, I am 48 years old, originally from Thailand and have lived in Sweden for the past 20 years. I am married and a proud mother of two children. My journey as a massage therapist began at the age of 14, guided by my grandmother who passed down traditional Thai techniques and values to me from a very early age. Since then, massage has not only been my profession – it is my passion and life path.

Over the years, I have worked both independently and as part of professional teams. I am currently based at Sturebadet in Stockholm, where I serve both as a therapist and an educator, teaching spa treatments and massage techniques.

My approach to massage is intuitive, holistic, and highly individualized. I specialize in tailoring each treatment by blending a variety of traditional and modern techniques to meet the unique needs of each client. These includes:

Classic Swedish massage
Traditional Thai massage
Shiatsu
Lomi Lomi
Abhyanga (Ayurvedic oil massage)
Sarika (traditional Thai wooden massage)

I had the honor of participating in the 7th Massage Competition held in Copenhagen, Denmark, last June about 250 over participants from 50 over countries.During this event, I encountered numerous massage therapists who profoundly inspired me till now, we made connectionson social media, learning new techniques from them as well.The competition venue was expansive and expertly designed to accommodate all categories of massage.Mr. Jeppe, my greatest idol, was exceptionally engaged throughout the event. Jeg mødte Jeppe Tengbjerg for første gang ved det første World Massage Championship i 2017. Siden da har vi krydset veje mange gange, i forskellige samarbejder relateret til massageverdenen: internationale konkurrencer, danske konkurrencer, kurser, workshops, seminarer, masterclasses mv. . Her var Jeppe skaberen, arrangøren eller i det mindste var han en væsentlig faktor i dannelsen af disse værdifulde platforme for uddannelse, inspiration og promovering, for alle dem, der er involveret i massageverdenen, både som massageudbydere og som massageforbrugere.Jeppe har ydet et kæmpe bidrag til at fremme massageværdier i Danmark og verden. Der kunne siges meget om dette bidrag og om hans egenskaber som professionel og som person. Måske allervigtigst er, at Jeppe Tengbjerg er en inspiration og et forbillede. Jeg har taget både grunduddannelsen, skadesterapeut, thai yoga massage samt sundhedsfaglig grunduddannelse hos tengbjerg massørskole og jeg er så tilfreds. Man lærer utrolig meget på kurserne og underviserne er så kompetente! Hvis man overvejer at blive massør, kan jeg på det kraftigste anbefale at man smutter til Næstved! :-)
