The latest participant at the World Championship in Massage 2019 is Karola Horvath from Switzerland. IMA has asked her to tell about herself.

My name is Karola Horvath. I have been working like massage therapist for 7 years. I have studied and graduated as medical massage therapist in the EFEB School in Budapest, Hungary. (www.efeb.hu)

After that i have started to work in Corinthia Hotel Budapest****. In 2014 i have decided to take some bigger step and I moved to Switzerland.

I started to work in Victoria Jungfrau Grand Hotel & Spa ***** in Interlaken.

I got many experience and opportunity to deepen my knowledge, to use my energy, to figure it out what exactly power I have during my massage, how to want to treat my client and to improve myself, my art and style.

I did ESPA Courses, ESPA Train the Trainer Course, Thai Yoga Massage Course, NITA Kinesiology Taping Course, Gua Sha, Medicinal Leech Therapie, Cupping Course.

Many people asking me about my massage. “What kind of massage was exactly that?”

The answer is: This is my own massage and style. I use different techniques (west and east), I am still changing and find out new massage techniques.

Everybody inspires me. I feel the energy of the body.

I am gonna represent Switzerland. I am living and working here.

In this year I decided to work for myself.

In April I have started with my brand calling Healing Hands Interlaken. I am doing different type of massage and working only with natural handmade skin and face products from Morocco.

The International Massage World Championships (IMA) in Copenhagen was an extraordinary experience. It provided a unique platform to compete with the best massage therapists in the world and learn advanced techniques at the highest level.The professional exchange, the valuable feedback from the jury and the inspiring atmosphere have significantly expanded my skills.
