Latest Massage Therapist signing up for the World Championship in Massage is Vaya Jansen from Belgium. The IMA has asked her to tell about herself:

My name is Vaya Jansen. My mother Lydia Jansen and I will be representing Belgium on the World Championship of Massage.

A couple of years ago, I founded my own company called VayaMassage where I offer massages at home all over Flanders in Belgium. Years later, I’m very proud that I can deem it a big success. We’re renowned all over Belgium with features in national media outlets, our presence on Tomorrowland, national and international celebrities that follow us on Instagram such as LikeMike, Taboo, Natalia, Ian Thomas, etc. It’s more than I could have ever imagined and many more opportunities lie before us.

I followed massage courses at the Wellness Academy in Hasselt (www.wellnessacademie.be) but most of my knowledge and techniques I gratefully learned from my mother. She guided me in the massage world since I was young, and since then there’s a lot I’ve taught myself as well. It’s mostly my curiosity for new knowledge within the sector and my passion for massages that have made me the renowned massage therapist I am today.

The focus of my massages lies in relaxation massage, deep tissue massage, or a combination of both. Depending on the requests of my clients, I can work on sore muscles and deep lying tissues to relieve any pain or soreness. Therefore, I would very much like to show my skills and competencies on the World Championship within the categories of Sport massages and Swedish massages.
