Latest Massage therapist participating at the World Championship in Massage 2023 is Tsai Huei Ping from Taiwan. The International Massage Association has asked her to tell about herself:

I’m a sport massage therapist that competed in the recent European massage championship 2023. The first Taiwanese contestants to take first place in the international division. I’m really grateful for this opportunity and humbled to receive this award.

In Taiwan massage is an industry which you acquire skills and knowledge through master and apprenticeship system. So I trained and worked for 11 years in the massage industry.

The style of massage I used have change throughout the years. Originally I was taught Thai-massage and Tradition Asian massage. My last maters that trained me has background in physiotherapy. That’s the reason and where I pick up the skill of Sport massage from. Through trial and adapting to different costumers need, I began implementing Sport massage into my daily work. I fell in love with Sport massage and wanted to carry out this massage due to the passion for exercise and training. Also many of my clients are athletes in various fields and some Olympic athletes. That’s why I want to represent Taiwan through Sport massage in this competition.

The International Massage World Championships (IMA) in Copenhagen was an extraordinary experience.
