Latest Massage Therapist signing up for the World Championship in Massage 2023 is Mari Funatsu from Japan.

Mari Funatsu is the owner of Bi-vace esthetic salon and the president of the “Bizen Facial Association” and “Funatsu Mari Beauty Academy (Esthetic School)”.

In 2006, she opened Bi-vace esthetic salon in Yoyogi Uehara, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo. Over the course of 17 years, she has specialized in small face and clenching treatments, developing various all-hand techniques such as Bizen Myofacial, Bizen Adjust 3D Facial, and many others. She has taught these techniques to estheticians and therapists across Japan and other countries, and she continues to provide treatments herself.

In 2014, Mari Funatsu achieved remarkable success at the Esthetic Grand Prix, the largest esthetic competition in Japan. She won first place in the “National Facial Techniques Category” and the “National Customer Satisfaction Ranking,” earning the prestigious title of the best esthetician in Japan.

Aside from managing her esthetic salon, Mari Funatsu is dedicated to educating and nurturing estheticians through her beauty academy. She is also actively involved in promoting Japanese techniques and hospitality abroad, conducting seminars and providing technical guidance in various countries.
