Suchitra Müller, Thailand
Latest participant to sign up for the World Championship in Massage is Suchitra Müller from Thailand. The International Massage association has asked her to tell about herself.
My name is Suchitra Müller. I was born in Sukhothai, Thailand. A few years ago, I moved with my family to Germany. After I completed my training in Thai massage I opened my own Thai Massage business “Sappakun Thailändische Massage & Wellness” one year ago in Germany (www.sappakun-massage.de). Sappakun Thailändische Massage & Wellness offers traditional Thai massage for health and relaxation.
Our aim is that customers feel comfortable and relaxed in a pleasant atmosphere through an appealing service and a high level of professionalism.
My personal aim is to improve the quality and standard of technique by continuous learning and improving my massage skills, but also learning more of the human body, e.g. human musculature. As a result, I have improved my basic massage technique of Thai Massage, reflecting the main Thai technique of oil, relaxation, hot stone, bamboo massage. Offering a gentler massage for pregnant women.
Understanding the needs and health status of my customers I learned more of therapist massage, been able to response to needs of customers, e.g. back pain, shoulder problems.
I am starting to mix Thai oil massage with Thai warrior massage.
I have graduated from the Wat Po Thai Traditional Medical and Massage School in Bangkok, Thailand (www.watpomassage.com/EN/home). In 1955 the Wat Pho Thai Medical and Massage School was opened inside the Wat Pho temple grounds, as the first training center for Thai massage. Moreover, Wat Po is the first Thai Medical School which was approved by the Thai Ministry of Education.
After my primary graduation continued at the Thara Massage Institute at Chiang Mai. The institute is focusing on realising the blockages in the client’s body. Unlike other Thai massage institutes, the method of the founder Mr. Suwat is focusing on the gap between muscles (www.tharamassage.com).
Further graduation I have been received from Thai Warrior Massage by Pathompon Aiyarattanaruk (Jack Sharman) in Thailand (www.thaiwarriormassage.org). Thai Warrior Massage does not rely purely on physical strength, it relies heavily on understanding and practicing with the right techniques and strategies.
