Latest Massage Therapist participating at the 2026 World Championship in Massage is Award winning Rasa Šakalienė from Lithuania. The International Massage Association has asked her to tell about herself:

My name is Rasa Šakalienė – a massage therapist and ergotherapist from Lithuania with more than 12 years of professional experience.

In my work, I combine therapeutic depth, aesthetics, and mindful touch. My massage style is inspired by Scandinavian minimalism and Japanese precision – creating a meditative, seamless experience where breath, movement, and emotion merge together.

Each massage I perform is like a sensitive story told through touch – calm, deep, and harmonious.

My Educational background:

I hold a degree in Ergotherapy from Vilnius University, Faculty of Medicine (Vilnius University, Lithuania).

Additionally, I have completed numerous international professional courses, training programs, seminars, and continuing education in the fields of:

Facial massage (Kobido, Gua Sha, intraoral, myofascial, lymphatic drainage, and others), myofascial release, Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, sports massage, lymphatic drainage, massage for people with disabilities, pregnant women, children, and wellness therapy.

Qualification in Medical Massage:

– Nursing Staff Training and Specialization Center, Public Institution (VšĮ Slaugos darbuotojų tobulinimosi ir specializacijos centras).

Qualification in Ergotherapy:

– Vilnius University, Faculty of Medicine.

I had the honor of participating in the 7th Massage Competition held in Copenhagen, Denmark, last June about 250 over participants from 50 over countries.During this event, I encountered numerous massage therapists who profoundly inspired me till now, we made connectionson social media, learning new techniques from them as well.The competition venue was expansive and expertly designed to accommodate all categories of massage.Mr. Jeppe, my greatest idol, was exceptionally engaged throughout the event.
