Pamela Locatelli, Italy
Latest Massage Therapist participating at the World Massage Championship on July 3-5 is Pamela Locatelli from Italy. The IMA has asked her to tell about herself:
My name is Pamela Locatelli and I am an Italian masseuse and wellness professional with over 20 years of experience in bodywork, training and research on movement applied to massage.
Throughout my career, I have studied several disciplines, including Thai Massage in Chiang Mai, deep tissue techniques, stretching, physiomassage and holistic approaches related to body work.
At the 2026 World Massage Championships in Copenhagen, I will present my original method:
ERGO IN MOTION
A new vision of ergonomic and sustainable massage.
ERGO IN MOTION was created with the aim of improving not only the quality of treatment, but also the sustainability and professional longevity of the operator.
Through intelligent movement dynamics and the use of an ergonomic approach, the method allows the practitioner to work with greater fluidity, precision and depth, while reducing physical overload on the body.
The project combines:
Ergonomics
Conscious Biomechanics
Movement inspired by Thai Massage
Stretching and mobilisation
Deep Tissue Principles
Fluid therapeutic transitions
My vision is to contribute to a more sustainable, conscious and evolved future of massage, where effectiveness, movement and well-being can coexist in harmony.
Profile
More than 13 years I’m the owner of my own centre.
My path began at a young age and developed through continuous training in Italy and abroad, integrating Eastern and Western techniques.
Specializing in deep and decontracting treatments, I developed a personal style that combines Thai massage (Nuad Boran), myofascial work and the use of oils and tools, adapting each treatment to the client’s needs.
