Latest Massage Therapist signing up for the 8th World Championship in Massage is Olena Kostiushko from Ukraine. The International Massage Association has asked her to tell about herself:

My name Olena Kostiushko – massage therapist and craniosacral therapist from Ukraine 2020 . I have also taken many different courses on body and face work, osteoplastic and craniosacral esthetics and continue my studies in the USA now.

Today I present a holistic and intuitive approach to manual therapy that combines the Spanish Neuromodulating Massage developed by Enrique García with craniosacral techniques focused on diaphragmatic release, respiratory regulation, and neuro-fascial decompression. This fusion offers deep support to the nervous system, restoring balance, breath, and bodily integration.

Core Elements of My Method:
Spanish Neuromodulating Massage (Enrique García Method): A gentle and precise method aimed at re-educating the neuromuscular system, releasing chronic tension patterns, and improving body awareness through fascial and sensory integration. Techniques adapt to the client’s real-time responses, fostering deep parasympathetic activation.

Craniosacral Therapy (inspired by the Upledger Approach):
Focus on the three diaphragms: pelvic, thoracic, and cranial (tentorium cerebelli).
Release of the respiratory diaphragm to support natural breathing and vagal tone.
Gentle mobilization of cervical and cranial structures (occiput, sphenoid, temporal bones) to reduce intracranial tension and promote cerebrospinal fluid flow.
Techniques such as OCB decompression (occipital–cervical base release) to balance autonomic function and promote whole-body regulation.

Techniques I Apply:
Myofascial decompression and unwinding Neuromuscular re-education and sensory feedback. Diaphragmatic release (sternocostal and respiratory support) Frontal–occipital holds, sphenoid balancing, cranial listening Vagus nerve support and regulation of autonomic rhythm

Expected Effects and Outcomes:
Restoration of autonomic nervous system balance (reduced anxiety, improved sleep and digestion)
Release of deep fascial and emotional tension in the neck, chest, and cranial base Improved breath awareness, postural alignment, and cranial rhythm Increased body awareness, emotional resilience, and a sense of inner safety
A subtle yet powerful “reset” of the nervous system and deep relaxation

My work is rooted in sensitivity, listening, and the intention to support each person’s inner healing intelligence. Clients often describe the session as deeply grounding, opening space for transformation on both physical and emotional levels.

I had the honor of participating in the 7th Massage Competition held in Copenhagen, Denmark, last June about 250 over participants from 50 over countries.
During this event, I encountered numerous massage therapists who profoundly inspired me till now, we made connectionson social media, learning new techniques from them as well.
The competition venue was expansive and expertly designed to accommodate all categories of massage.

Mr. Jeppe, my greatest idol, was exceptionally engaged throughout the event. His energy seemed boundless, akin to a rechargeable battery, as he was present everywhere, capturing videos and photographs of all participants and conducting interviews with us.

Wishing all my fellow "muscle kneaders" the best of luck; may you enjoy this truly remarkable experience in your lives!

I extend my gratitude to IMA for providing this extraordinary opportunity to showcase our talents to the world.

Jeg mødte Jeppe Tengbjerg for første gang ved det første World Massage Championship i 2017. Siden da har vi krydset veje mange gange, i forskellige samarbejder relateret til massageverdenen: internationale konkurrencer, danske konkurrencer, kurser, workshops, seminarer, masterclasses mv. . Her var Jeppe skaberen, arrangøren eller i det mindste var han en væsentlig faktor i dannelsen af disse værdifulde platforme for uddannelse, inspiration og promovering, for alle dem, der er involveret i massageverdenen, både som massageudbydere og som massageforbrugere.
Jeppe har ydet et kæmpe bidrag til at fremme massageværdier i Danmark og verden. Der kunne siges meget om dette bidrag og om hans egenskaber som professionel og som person. Måske allervigtigst er, at Jeppe Tengbjerg er en inspiration og et forbillede. Han samler flittigt viden og erfaringer, hvorfra han skaber en kilde til ny viden og erfaring til andre og giver den videre.
