Mayuri Uppala Johnsen, Norway

The latest participant at the World Championship in Massage is the winner of the Norwegian Massage Championship 2020. She is also one of the Pioneers who participated online at the World Championship in Massage 2021. IMA has asked her to tell about herself: 

I am Mayuri Uppala Johnsen from Thailand with the daily name Ree (pronounced “Ri”), and have practiced as Thai Classic Massage Therapist in near 33 years, where near 12 of them in Norway in my own clinique Royal Thaimassasje (www.royalthaimassasje.no) at Lilleeng Helsepark in Moss (www.lillenghelsepark.no)

From the Union of Thai Traditional Medicine Society I am certified / trained in the fields Thai Traditional Massage, Swedish Massage, Sport Massage, Thai Traditional Midwifery, Thai Traditional Pharmacy, Thai Traditional Reflexology.

I practice an integrated style of massage incorporating different techniques into one session, to help restore energy and balance to the body and facilitate optimal tissue function and natural motion.

One of my techniques is using my weight or part of it on the customer together with long sticks outside body to keep the balance and vary the pressure.

I licensed as Thai traditional massage at The Wat Po Traditional Medical School in Bangkok in 16. October 2002 (www.watpomassage.com)

I licensed Massage Therapist in Thai traditional medicine development Foundation in Bangkok, where I received certification 4. June 2008 (www.thai-Todfeind.com).

I was assigned Nuadthai and health spa Instructor specialist Training Class at Ministry of Public Health, Nonthaburi 15. December 2016.

The International Massage Association and the Norsk Massasjeforening (Norwegian Massage Federation) look forward watching Mayuri Uppala Johnsen skills at the World Championship in Massage 2022 in wonderful Copenhagen.
