Latest massage therapist to sign up for the World Championship in Massage is Jessie Breard from France. IMA has asked her to tell about herself.

My name is Jessie Breard, I am from Normandy, a small village called Prey, I am 37 years old and the mother of two wonderful children.

My background is atypical,

After obtaining my engineering degree in finance, I joined a banking group for which I held a professional affairs manager position. I have supported business leaders for 8 years in the creation and development of their companies in France and abroad.

I then had the opportunity to take over a Thai spa located in France. Quite a gamble, since I quit my job to take up a position as a salaried director of a company in a sector of activity that was unknown to me. Bet paid, this recovery was a success. It was during this period that my passion for massage began. Although secretly, I had been practicing massage in a small room in my basement for my loved ones for a few years, having always been a passionate person.

I have traveled the world to learn, discover, and train myself in massage and different cultures.

After a difficult time, where my body survived the disease, I understood the meaning I wanted to give to my life. I needed to find myself, I needed to set up a project that was bigger than me. My life project, to share and live my passion: wellness.

Since 2019, I have made my dream come true,I made my dream come true, I left the spa and set up my massage practice.

In the meantime, I wanted to write. Write to transmit, write to arouse reflection on different themes. Since 2017, three books have been released: Un verre paradis, La mélodie des roses, Once upon the life.

Since my first selection for the Best Hands of France in 2017 (organized by the Spa de France label), I have wanted to continue the adventure of competitions. My motivations are above all meeting, exchanging and sharing our beautiful profession, our art of massage. To be able to meet and learn from experienced massage therapists from all over the world. The opportunity for me to continue the journey towards knowledge.

We must not forget that we are born what we are thanks to the synergy of each other.

Presentation

I will present my signature Alüna massage to you in the wellness massage category (oil massage)

It is a massage that works on the 5 Dimenssions. Physical dimension (the body), affective (the senses), intellectual (memory) social (the relationship with others), spiritual (consciousness).

This massage is inspired by massages from around the world, such as Thai massage, lomi-lomi but also deep-tissue and singing bowl vibration. I use pressure, percussion, glides and stretching. A subtle mix between energy work and neuro-muscular work.

I will be delighted to meet you all soon at the World Championship in Massage.

Jeg mødte Jeppe Tengbjerg for første gang ved det første World Massage Championship i 2017. Siden da har vi krydset veje mange gange, i forskellige samarbejder relateret til massageverdenen: internationale konkurrencer, danske konkurrencer, kurser, workshops, seminarer, masterclasses mv. . Her var Jeppe skaberen, arrangøren eller i det mindste var han en væsentlig faktor i dannelsen af disse værdifulde platforme for uddannelse, inspiration og promovering, for alle dem, der er involveret i massageverdenen, både som massageudbydere og som massageforbrugere.Jeppe har ydet et kæmpe bidrag til at fremme massageværdier i Danmark og verden. Jeg har taget både grunduddannelsen, skadesterapeut, thai yoga massage samt sundhedsfaglig grunduddannelse hos tengbjerg massørskole og jeg er så tilfreds. Man lærer utrolig meget på kurserne og underviserne er så kompetente! Hvis man overvejer at blive massør, kan jeg på det kraftigste anbefale at man smutter til Næstved! :-)
