Latest Massage Therapist participating at the 9th World Championship in Massage is award winning Irosh Mendis from Sri Lanka. The International Massage Association has asked him to introduce himself:

My name is Irosh Mendis and I come from Sri Lanka, where I grew up. I have now lived for several years in the Czech Republic, where I have family. My family in Sri Lanka introduced me to therapies and massages, as my grandfather was an Ayurvedic doctor. I see massages as a mission. I feel a sense of satisfaction that I can help people. There is healing energy in every touch. Constantly challenging myself in the field of massage therapy.

I studied Ayurvedic massage in Sri Lanka. I have a Certificate of Competence Sathsanda Lanka and I also completed Ayurvedic therapy at Ayurveda Garden Beach Hotel. I worked in Sri Lanka for several years, but after the tsunami I had to move to Europe, where I first worked in Prague, Znojmo. But now I am working alone in my practice.

I had the honor of participating in the 7th Massage Competition held in Copenhagen, Denmark, last June about 250 over participants from 50 over countries.During this event, I encountered numerous massage therapists who profoundly inspired me till now, we made connectionson social media, learning new techniques from them as well.The competition venue was expansive and expertly designed to accommodate all categories of massage.Mr. Jeppe, my greatest idol, was exceptionally engaged throughout the event.
