Latest Massage Therapist signing up for the 8th World Championship in Massage is Denitsa Lilova from Norway/Bulgaria. The International Massage Association has asked her to introduce herself:
Professional Summary
I am Wellness & Body Therapist | Yoga & Meditation Instructor | OsteoThai Specialist
I am a committed and compassionate body and wellness therapist with over 25 years of international experience. My work is rooted in a rich blend of Eastern healing philosophies and Western anatomical science. At the center of my therapeutic approach is OsteoThai massage—a sophisticated integration of Thai yoga massage and osteopathy. This unique method allows me to work holistically, addressing not only the structural needs of the body but also the more subtle layers of emotional and energetic tension.
My professional journey began early, inspired by my mother—a natural healer—who taught me that those who come to you for help are also your greatest teachers. This philosophy has become a cornerstone of how I relate to the people I work with: with presence, humility, and respect. Over time, I’ve cultivated a way of working that is spiritually sensitive yet firmly grounded in the practical knowledge of anatomy, fascia, and the nervous system. I believe that true therapeutic touch requires both intuition and precision, both empathy and education.
Personally, I am someone who values curiosity, lifelong learning, and meaningful connection. These qualities have led me to train in a wide range of disciplines—from traditional Thai medicine in Chiang Mai, to osteopathic techniques across Europe, to modern movement and self-care methods like Yoga Tune Up®. I bring this rich background to every session, creating treatments that are tailored, responsive, and attentive to the whole person.
Professionally, I’ve worked in diverse environments including wellness centers, private clinics, luxury spas, and retreat settings in Bulgaria, Germany, Thailand, and Norway. I have led therapist training programs, organized wellness teams, and facilitated workshops across Europe. I am also a yoga and meditation instructor and find great joy in guiding people toward a more embodied and peaceful relationship with themselves.
Currently, I work at Farris Bad Spa in Larvik, Norway, where I offer therapeutic bodywork, lead yoga and meditation sessions, and contribute to the ongoing development of the spa’s holistic wellness offerings. I am passionate about creating experiences that foster both physical vitality and inner calm, and I bring warmth, professionalism, and presence to every aspect of my work.
