Latest Massage Therapist signing up for the 2026 World Massage Championship is Christopher de Wind from Curaçao. The IMA has asked him to tell about himself:

My name is Chris, better known as the Chi Professor, proudly representing the beautiful island of Curaçao in the World Championship Massage. For the past five years, I have dedicated my life to mastering the art of therapeutic touch, creating transformative massage experiences that reconnect people with their body, mind, spirit, and inner energy.

For me, massage goes far beyond relaxation, it is healing, restoration, and human connection. Every treatment I deliver is intentionally designed to meet the unique needs of each individual, whether they are seeking pain relief, muscular recovery, emotional balance, stress reduction, or complete physical and mental renewal.

I believe it is not just about the massage itself; I focus on creating a complete experience, from the moment a client books their session until the moment they rise from the massage table. My work is rooted in the belief that the body possesses a natural ability to heal when approached with precision, presence, compassion, and purpose. As a massage teacher, I also take pride in sharing my energy, knowledge, and passion with my students and peers.

Throughout my journey, I have continuously refined my craft through education, experience, intuition, and a deep passion for wellness. My massage style is recognized for its powerful flow, rhythmic movement, controlled pressure, deep body awareness, and energetic connection, creating an unforgettable and deeply restorative experience for every client who enters my space.

Representing Curaçao on an international stage is both an honor and a responsibility that I carry with immense pride. Participating in the World Championship Massage allows me to share not only my techniques and philosophy, but also the passion, culture, warmth, and healing energy of my island with the world.

As the Chi Professor, my mission is to inspire healing through touch, elevate the massage profession, and remind people that true wellness begins when the body, mind, and energy align as one.

For me, massage is not simply a profession, it is my purpose, my passion, and my calling.

I did my study at the Caribbean Aesthetics Academy in Curaçao in 2021.

The World Massage Championship in Copenhagen is truly my second home. For the past 9 years, As a I have had the honor of being part of this amazing organization as a teacher and judge, and every year I leave feeling inspired, moved, and deeply grateful.

It is a place where passion, knowledge, talent, and heart come together. I have learned from others, been influenced and inspired by incredible professionals, and I have also had the joy of teaching and sharing my own experience.

I had the honor of participating in the 7th Massage Competition held in Copenhagen, Denmark, last June about 250 over participants from 50 over countries.
During this event, I encountered numerous massage therapists who profoundly inspired me till now, we made connectionson social media, learning new techniques from them as well.
The competition venue was expansive and expertly designed to accommodate all categories of massage.

Mr. Jeppe, my greatest idol, was exceptionally engaged throughout the event. His energy seemed boundless, akin to a rechargeable battery, as he was present everywhere, capturing videos and photographs of all participants and conducting interviews with us.

Wishing all my fellow "muscle kneaders" the best of luck; may you enjoy this truly remarkable experience in your lives!

Jeg mødte Jeppe Tengbjerg for første gang ved det første World Massage Championship i 2017. Siden da har vi krydset veje mange gange, i forskellige samarbejder relateret til massageverdenen: internationale konkurrencer, danske konkurrencer, kurser, workshops, seminarer, masterclasses mv. . Her var Jeppe skaberen, arrangøren eller i det mindste var han en væsentlig faktor i dannelsen af disse værdifulde platforme for uddannelse, inspiration og promovering, for alle dem, der er involveret i massageverdenen, både som massageudbydere og som massageforbrugere.
