Amy Hintze, Germany
Latest Massage Therapist signing up for the World Championship in Massage is Amy Hintze from Germany. The IMA has asked her to tell about herself:
I moved to Germany from the US with my partner and child in 2023, and love my new home. I received nearly 800 classroom hours of initial massage training, and have a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology. I have been a professional massage therapist for 26 years, with experience in many different massage environments, from rehabilitative to spa treatments.
My massage is a balancing blend of clinical and intuitive, combining elements of such disciplines as Sports Massage and Deep Tissue with elements of more energy-based practices such as (and particularly) Craniosacral Therapy. My work is informed by the many hours of study I have done in Human Anatomy and Physiology, while also embracing a more empathic approach to establishing a connection with the receiver.
I graduated in March 2000 from The Utah College of Massage Therapy in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA. Sadly, the school no longer exists, so I can’t provide a website.
