Alexander Shcheparev, Russia
The latest participant at the World Championship in Massage 2019 in Copenhagen is 29 year old Alexander Shcheparev from Russia. IMA has asked him to write about himself:
I have a medical and physical education. I am the silver medalist of another International Massage Championship in 2015 according to the National Federation of massage therapists of Russia.
I was trained at the SPA school International (www.spaschool.ru)
I want to participate in 2 categories:
1) Swedish massage. I will show Russian classic massage. At the moment, classical massage is the most studied and proven technique, which is included in the mandatory training program for massage specialists. This is a kind of base on the principles of which other methods are built.
Russian classic massage is stroking, squeezing, vibration, rubbing and kneading. Consistent study is first at the level of the skin, then — at the level of subcutaneous fat, then muscle. This massage helps to prevent a dozen diseases. Including — musculoskeletal system, diseases of the cardiovascular system, reduces the risk of heart attacks and strokes. Increases immunity and performance. Evidently prolongs active life.
2) Wellness massage. I’ll be showing a dynamic lymphatic drainage massage. Dynamic lymphatic drainage is a soft pressing movement, synchronized with human breathing. Combining techniques such as pressure, deep breathing and holistic vibration, dynamic lymphatic drainage not only enhances the drainage of fluids, but also:
– relieves tension from internal organs
-makes diaphragm mobilization
-anti-stress effect
-activates microcirculation
-relieves muscle tension
