Latest Massage Therapist signing up for the World Championship in Massage is Ademir A Dos Santos from Brazil. The IMA has asked him to tell about himself:

I study massage therapy extensively and practice shamanism as a philosophy of life. I decided to combine these two worlds and over the years I have been developing Shamanic Massage.

For the world championship, I created a variation and adaptation of the session to compete in the Wellness category with the Shamanic SPA, where I will incorporate holistic indigenous elements from South America and Polynesia, compresses of healing herbs from the Amazon, and indigenous instruments.

Unfortunately, I will not be able to use smudging as it goes against the championship rules. I will also work with aromatherapy and healing through sound.

For the freestyle portion, I’ll use a version with a higher frequency, moving away from the concept of classical music, since in my country alone there are over 660 indigenous nations.

The technical basis for both sessions will be Classical Massage, Therapeutic Massage, and Thai Massage.

I am educated several places, the one in the link was the first, but I’ve taken several short courses and masterclasses throughout my career.

I had the honor of participating in the 7th Massage Competition held in Copenhagen, Denmark, last June about 250 over participants from 50 over countries.
During this event, I encountered numerous massage therapists who profoundly inspired me till now, we made connectionson social media, learning new techniques from them as well.
The competition venue was expansive and expertly designed to accommodate all categories of massage.

Mr. Jeppe, my greatest idol, was exceptionally engaged throughout the event. His energy seemed boundless, akin to a rechargeable battery, as he was present everywhere, capturing videos and photographs of all participants and conducting interviews with us.

Wishing all my fellow "muscle kneaders" the best of luck; may you enjoy this truly remarkable experience in your lives!

Jeg mødte Jeppe Tengbjerg for første gang ved det første World Massage Championship i 2017. Siden da har vi krydset veje mange gange, i forskellige samarbejder relateret til massageverdenen: internationale konkurrencer, danske konkurrencer, kurser, workshops, seminarer, masterclasses mv. .
