Latest Massage Therapist signing up for the 8th IMA World Massage Championship is Viktor Zupančič from Slovenia. The International Massage Association has asked him to introduce himself:

My name is Viktor Zupančič. I was born on 9th of December in 1971. Currently I live with my wife Nina in a small village called Bodonci in NE part of Slovenia. I have one daughter and two grandkids. I finished the Faculty of Criminal Justice and Security and also European Faculty of Law. I have worked in the Police as a Police Inspector for almost 35 years. In 2014 I took my first massage course – classic Swedish massage. The next massage course was Chair massage in 2018. The same year I also took a Sport massage course. Finally, I also took a Therapeutic massage course in 2019. I have my own part time massage business from 2018. I am also a tourist guide and a Nordic walking instructor. I love hiking and spending time in nature. I am also a charity volunteer in the community.

I had the honor of participating in the 7th Massage Competition held in Copenhagen, Denmark, last June about 250 over participants from 50 over countries.During this event, I encountered numerous massage therapists who profoundly inspired me till now, we made connectionson social media, learning new techniques from them as well.The competition venue was expansive and expertly designed to accommodate all categories of massage.Mr. Jeppe, my greatest idol, was exceptionally engaged throughout the event. Jeg mødte Jeppe Tengbjerg for første gang ved det første World Massage Championship i 2017. Siden da har vi krydset veje mange gange, i forskellige samarbejder relateret til massageverdenen: internationale konkurrencer, danske konkurrencer, kurser, workshops, seminarer, masterclasses mv. . Her var Jeppe skaberen, arrangøren eller i det mindste var han en væsentlig faktor i dannelsen af disse værdifulde platforme for uddannelse, inspiration og promovering, for alle dem, der er involveret i massageverdenen, både som massageudbydere og som massageforbrugere.Jeppe har ydet et kæmpe bidrag til at fremme massageværdier i Danmark og verden. Der kunne siges meget om dette bidrag og om hans egenskaber som professionel og som person. Måske allervigtigst er, at Jeppe Tengbjerg er en inspiration og et forbillede. Jeg har taget både grunduddannelsen, skadesterapeut, thai yoga massage samt sundhedsfaglig grunduddannelse hos tengbjerg massørskole og jeg er så tilfreds. Man lærer utrolig meget på kurserne og underviserne er så kompetente! Hvis man overvejer at blive massør, kan jeg på det kraftigste anbefale at man smutter til Næstved! :-)
