Latest Massage Therapist participating at the 7th World Championship in Massage is the awarded Sophia Trouchkin from Canada. The International Massage Association has asked her to tell about herself:

My name is Sophia Trouchkin, and I’m a Canadian. In addition to being a licensed massage therapist, I am also a certified yoga instructor and I am studying nursing in Canada.

With a specialization in Swedish massage, I am passionate about taking care of others. In 2023, I graduated from Kiné-concept, Guijek school, which is no longer operating in Quebec, Montreal. Natural giver and willful are two adjectives I would use to describe myself.

I enjoy challenging myself and stepping outside of my comfort zone. Massaging clients gives me peace and satisfaction, as it is both an art and a therapy for me and them. I define massage as a form of art, a dance in connection with the soul of the client. Touch connects you with the client’s emotions and feelings, generating an energetic exchange. Allowing yourself to relax, escaping from your mind and be present in the moment.

The International Massage World Championships (IMA) in Copenhagen was an extraordinary experience. It provided a unique platform to compete with the best massage therapists in the world and learn advanced techniques at the highest level.The professional exchange, the valuable feedback from the jury and the inspiring atmosphere have significantly expanded my skills.
