Latest Massage Therapist signing up for the 9th World Championship in Massage in Denmark is Jay Parappoor Kunnath from India. The International Massage Association has asked him to tell about himself:

My name is Jay, and I am a holistic bodywork therapist from Kerala, India, with many years of experience in therapeutic and intuitive bodywork.

I come from a family connected to Ayurvedic practices, where knowledge of healing, energy awareness, and mindful living has been passed down through generations. This background has deeply influenced my approach, allowing me to work not only with the physical body but also with the subtle energy systems.

My style is inspired by traditional Indian healing systems, particularly Ayurveda and Kalari (Kalaripayattu) — one of the oldest martial arts in the world. This foundation has shaped my understanding of movement, strength, and fluidity, as well as precision and control in touch.

My work focuses on creating balance between body, mind, and energy. Each session is intuitive and adapted to the individual, combining strong physical techniques with deep presence and awareness. I aim not only to release tension and support recovery, but also to help clients reconnect with themselves on a deeper level.

I believe bodywork is both a physical practice and an energetic exchange. Through my work, I connect with the source — the universal energy that flows through all of us — allowing the session to become a space for realignment, release, and restoration.

In addition to my practice, I have been teaching Ayurvedic massage and advanced bodywork techniques for many years, sharing my knowledge with students and therapists who wish to deepen their skills and understanding of conscious touch.

I am honored to represent India at the World Massage Championship and to be part of a community that continues to elevate the art and science of therapeutic touch.

I had the honor of participating in the 7th Massage Competition held in Copenhagen, Denmark, last June about 250 over participants from 50 over countries.
During this event, I encountered numerous massage therapists who profoundly inspired me till now, we made connectionson social media, learning new techniques from them as well.
The competition venue was expansive and expertly designed to accommodate all categories of massage.

Mr. Jeppe, my greatest idol, was exceptionally engaged throughout the event. His energy seemed boundless, akin to a rechargeable battery, as he was present everywhere, capturing videos and photographs of all participants and conducting interviews with us.

Wishing all my fellow "muscle kneaders" the best of luck; may you enjoy this truly remarkable experience in your lives!

I extend my gratitude to IMA for providing this extraordinary opportunity to showcase our talents to the world.

Jeg mødte Jeppe Tengbjerg for første gang ved det første World Massage Championship i 2017. Siden da har vi krydset veje mange gange, i forskellige samarbejder relateret til massageverdenen: internationale konkurrencer, danske konkurrencer, kurser, workshops, seminarer, masterclasses mv. . Her var Jeppe skaberen, arrangøren eller i det mindste var han en væsentlig faktor i dannelsen af disse værdifulde platforme for uddannelse, inspiration og promovering, for alle dem, der er involveret i massageverdenen, både som massageudbydere og som massageforbrugere.
Jeppe har ydet et kæmpe bidrag til at fremme massageværdier i Danmark og verden. Der kunne siges meget om dette bidrag og om hans egenskaber som professionel og som person. Måske allervigtigst er, at Jeppe Tengbjerg er en inspiration og et forbillede. Han samler flittigt viden og erfaringer, hvorfra han skaber en kilde til ny viden og erfaring til andre og giver den videre.

Man lærer utrolig meget på kurserne og underviserne er så kompetente! Hvis man overvejer at blive massør, kan jeg på det kraftigste anbefale at man smutter til Næstved! :-)
