Nishit Shah, Canada/India
Latest Massage Therapist signing up for the 9th World Championship in Massage is Nishit Shah from Canada and India. The IMA has asked him to tell about himself:
Hello, my name is Nishit Shah, and I am a Canada-based Registered Massage Therapist with 18+ years of experience across physiotherapy, rehabilitation, and therapeutic massage care.
My professional journey began in India, where I completed my education in Physiotherapy and practiced for over 12 years. During that time, I developed a strong foundation in understanding the human body, pain management, mobility, recovery, posture, and patient-centered care.
After moving to Canada, I continued my passion for therapeutic care by pursuing my Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) education at the National Institute. While completing my studies, I also gained valuable Canadian clinical experience by working as a Physiotherapy Assistant in a physiotherapy clinic, allowing me to further develop my hands-on skills and understanding of patient care within the Canadian healthcare environment.
Today, I continue to grow as an RMT across both wellness and clinical settings. I am currently working as a Registered Massage Therapist at Scandinave Spa, one of North America’s most recognized spa destinations, and at Hockley Valley Resort, a renowned golf, spa, and ski resort. Alongside this, I also work as an RMT in a clinical setting, where I support clients with concerns related to pain, mobility, recovery, muscle tension, relaxation, and overall physical wellness.
My approach combines my physiotherapy background with hands-on massage therapy expertise, allowing me to provide personalized care that supports both recovery and long-term well-being.
I am participating in the World Championship Massage to learn from leading professionals, connect with therapists from around the world, and continue growing in a field that has been both my profession and my passion for many years. For me, this is not just a competition – it is an opportunity to celebrate the art, science, and healing power of therapeutic touch.
I completed my Registered massage therapy study in national institute, Brampton, Ontario, Canada.
I will represent Canada in this competition, as I learned my Massage therapy and practicing massage therapy in Canada.
