Latest Massage Therapist signing up for the World Championship in Massage is Marcela Lappin from Slovakia. The International Massage Association has asked her to tell about herself:

My name is Marcela (40), I am the founder and business owner of the Lekay spa therapy concept in Slovakia, which I’ve created based on long-term experience and practice in the world of spa therapy. I have created different types of spa rituals with techniques that are mainly intended to relax the whole organism and improve health.

At the World Championships, I will present myself with a spa ritual of facial massage techniques that I created based on this year’s energy and is very popular among my clients and students. It includes the release of emotional stress, gentle lymphatic drainage and acupressure.

I was educated at:

* The Secondary Vocational School of Business and Services, Zilina, Slovakia

* The Galligan College of Advanced Aesthetics & Beauty, Dublin, Ireland

* City & Guilds Level 3 IVQ Advanced Diploma in Teaching (Awarded as a student of the year)

* Fully trained Spa therapist within ESPA & Elemis company

I had the honor of participating in the 7th Massage Competition held in Copenhagen, Denmark, last June about 250 over participants from 50 over countries.During this event, I encountered numerous massage therapists who profoundly inspired me till now, we made connectionson social media, learning new techniques from them as well.The competition venue was expansive and expertly designed to accommodate all categories of massage.Mr. Jeppe, my greatest idol, was exceptionally engaged throughout the event. Jeg mødte Jeppe Tengbjerg for første gang ved det første World Massage Championship i 2017. Siden da har vi krydset veje mange gange, i forskellige samarbejder relateret til massageverdenen: internationale konkurrencer, danske konkurrencer, kurser, workshops, seminarer, masterclasses mv. . Her var Jeppe skaberen, arrangøren eller i det mindste var han en væsentlig faktor i dannelsen af disse værdifulde platforme for uddannelse, inspiration og promovering, for alle dem, der er involveret i massageverdenen, både som massageudbydere og som massageforbrugere.Jeppe har ydet et kæmpe bidrag til at fremme massageværdier i Danmark og verden. Der kunne siges meget om dette bidrag og om hans egenskaber som professionel og som person. Måske allervigtigst er, at Jeppe Tengbjerg er en inspiration og et forbillede. Man lærer utrolig meget på kurserne og underviserne er så kompetente! Hvis man overvejer at blive massør, kan jeg på det kraftigste anbefale at man smutter til Næstved! :-)
