Laura McAulay, Scotland
Latest Massage Therapist signing up for the 9th World Championship in Massage is Laura McAulay from Scotland. The International Massage Association has asked her to tell about herself.
Hello, my name is Laura and I am a massage therapist from Scotland. I work in an independent salon in rural Aberdeenshire.
I qualified in Swedish Massage from the Complementary Therapy School 10 years ago. I instantly felt like I had found my passion. Hungry to learn more I furthered my training and now offer deep tissue massage, reflexology, Indian Head Massage, Warm bamboo and facials. I particularly enjoy putting together packages where clients can experience a combination of all my treatments to help them reach a deep state of relaxation.
Massage is not a luxury or a treat. I consider it a vital component of health and wellness. It is a treatment for both the body and the mind, and is good for the soul. In today’s fast – paced world I find it extremely rewarding to provide that sense of calm for people, help manage aches and pains or be an ear to listen during sessions. I am really looking forward to the competition but also the experience and the many wonderful people I hope to learn lots more from.
