Latest brave massage therapist to sign up for the World Championship in Massage is Iza Gobar from Slovenia. IMA has asked her to tell about herself.
my name is Iza Gobar, I’m 29 years old physiotherapist living in Ljubljana, Slovenia. I gratuated in 2015 at university Alma Mater Europaea in Maribor, Slovenia. During my study I have learned different techniques such as Swedish massage and deep tissue massage, which were my basis. And as I have always felt a deep need to help people, I wanted to learn more about the human body on different of level and try to introduce and improve with many therapeutical methods and approaches from East and West.
After five years working in different public and private medical institutions, I have started my own path in 2019. Since then I am even more oriented in holistic and integrative approaches at my therapies, trying to give the best.
My massage is a complete individually oriented mixture of classical Swedish, spine massage, deep tissue massage and gentle mobilisation. I will be competing in freestyle (western) massage. I am looking very forward to attend at the competition for the first time.
The International Massage Association and our sponsor World Wellness Weekend look forward watching Iza Gobar skills at the World Championship in Massage.
