Dr. Hope Hui Rising was born in Taipei, Taiwan and has lived on four continents growing up. She is a licensed massage therapist and instructor and a certified medical massage practitioner from the United States. She is also a certified advanced practitioner and teacher of Nuad Bo-Rarn. Hope is the owner of Triune Medical Massage based in Austin, Texas, which offers massage therapy, yoga, and sound healing sessions and courses. She has practiced with seven spas, including Milk and Honey and Lake Austin Resort where she also taught yoga and practiced sound healing.
Dr. Rising has taught at many universities as an instructor and professor since 1999. Her research on the neurophysiology of stress response mitigation through senses has been featured by top journals. She was one of the eight international experts on the Post-Pandemic Community Resilience Strategy Group for the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicines. She was invited to speak at a National Institute of Aging workshop on stress response mitigation. Hope is also a performing artist nominated by the Hollywood Independent Music Award and a certified yoga instructor. Hope spent five years in India from 2007 to 2011 since her near-death experience to study yoga, pranayama, meditation, sound healing, and ajurveda and cured herself after fasting for 44 days. She hosts wellness workshops and retreats in the United States and around the world to share what she learned from her self-healing journey.
Description of Hope Hui Rising’s Massage
Hope invented Triune Massage and Yogassage, both of which had helped thousands recover from injuries and surgeries and chronic conditions. Triune Massage combines lymphatic drainage, myofascial, and trigger point massages into a form of passive therapeutic relaxation massage for clients with movement restrictions and preferences for gentle approaches to pain management and post-injury and surgery recoveries. Yogassage integrated Triune Massage with yoga therapy, Nuad Bo-Rarn, active release, cupping, and instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM) into a form of active therapeutic massage for clients seeking rapid release from fascial adhesion and whiplashes associated with past traumas. Similar to Nuad Bo-Rarn that puts both clients and practitioners into yoga positions, these two modalities have been carefully choreographed with movements that mitigate straining and maximize health benefits on the practitioners.
