Guennadi Iankovski, Germany
Latest Massage Therapist signing up for the 8th World Championship in Massage Guennadi is Iankovski from Germany. The International Massage Association has asked him to tell about himself:
My name is Guennadi Iankovski, born on November 1, 1966. I am a doctor of manual medicine, a manual therapist, and a specialist in fascial techniques. I am excited to submit my application to participate in The World Championship in Massage as a representative of Germany. This championship is a unique opportunity to present my authorial massage technique, developed based on many years of experience in medicine and sports rehabilitation.
My professional career began in 1985, when I graduated from a medical college in Moscow and obtained an additional qualification as a massage therapist. In the early years of my career, I focused on sports medicine, working with the national USSR fencing team and preparing athletes for major international competitions, including:
• Goodwill Games (1986),
• Russian Cup,
• World and European Championships,
• Spartakiad of the Peoples of the USSR,
• and other prestigious tournaments.
In 1990, I entered a medical institute in Moscow, which I graduated from in 1997, and in 1998, I obtained a certificate as a manual therapy doctor. Throughout my career, I have continuously expanded my knowledge, studying:
• The Fascial Distortion Model by Stephen Typaldos (2013),
• Structural Osteopathy and Soft Tissue Chiropractic by Ackermann (2022),
• In 2024, I received a certificate in manual medicine in Germany.
About My Technique
Based on my extensive experience and research, I developed Post-Isometric Myofascial Massage – a technique that combines post-isometric relaxation and fascial manipulation. This method is particularly effective in sports medicine, as it helps:
• accelerate recovery after physical exertion,
• relieve muscle tension and improve joint mobility,
• prevent injuries,
• enhance movement efficiency and overall athletic performance.
At The World Championship in Massage, I will present this method, demonstrating its advantages in sports recovery. In my practice, I strive to integrate classical and modern techniques to achieve the maximum therapeutic effect.
Why I Want to Participate
It is a great honor to represent Germany at this prestigious championship. I am confident that participating in The World Championship in Massage will allow me not only to showcase a high professional level but also to exchange valuable experience with leading specialists from around the world.
The International Massage Association look forward watching Guennadi Iankovski’s skills at the World Championship in Massage on June 27-29 in wonderful Copenhagen in Denmark.
