Latest Massage therapists participating in the International Massage Associations 8th World Championship in Massage on June 27-29 is Multi Award Winning Federica Monti from Italy. The IMA has asked her to tell about herself:

Hello! I’m Federica Monti, I’m 25 years old, and I come from Velletri, a town near Rome, Italy. I work as a massage therapist at the “Clinica del Massaggio” in Velletri, collaborating with physiotherapists and doctors to offer a multidisciplinary approach focused on the well-being of our clients.

My career began in the world of aesthetics, but my passion for massage led me to specialize with both Italian and international masters. I have studied various techniques, including Shiatsu Namikoshi and Thai massage disciplines I studied directly in Thailand, in the “old medicine hospital” in chiang mai, which influenced my style. This is where my Free Style Massage (Eastern Inspired) was born: a mix of personalized oriental techniques. I also took IMA’s Freestyle Massage Course last year.

Over the years, I have had the honor of participating in several international massage championships, earning important awards:

• 2022 – World Championship of Massage and Manual Therapy (Italy) – 1st place in the Aesthetic Massage category

• 2023 – Copa Internacional de Masaje y Quiropraxia (Mexico) – 1st place in the Elite Massage category

• 2024 – Copa Internacional de Masaje y Quiropraxia (Mexico) – Gold medal

• 2024 – GL-National and International Massage Championships (Ukraine) – Gold medal in the Western Freestyle category

• 2025 – Transylvanian Massage Cup – 1st place overall and gold medal in the Chair Massage category

I will be proud to represent Italy in the next World Championship in Massage in Denmark!

I had the honor of participating in the 7th Massage Competition held in Copenhagen, Denmark, last June about 250 over participants from 50 over countries.During this event, I encountered numerous massage therapists who profoundly inspired me till now, we made connectionson social media, learning new techniques from them as well.The competition venue was expansive and expertly designed to accommodate all categories of massage.Mr. Jeppe, my greatest idol, was exceptionally engaged throughout the event. Jeg mødte Jeppe Tengbjerg for første gang ved det første World Massage Championship i 2017. Siden da har vi krydset veje mange gange, i forskellige samarbejder relateret til massageverdenen: internationale konkurrencer, danske konkurrencer, kurser, workshops, seminarer, masterclasses mv. . Her var Jeppe skaberen, arrangøren eller i det mindste var han en væsentlig faktor i dannelsen af disse værdifulde platforme for uddannelse, inspiration og promovering, for alle dem, der er involveret i massageverdenen, både som massageudbydere og som massageforbrugere.Jeppe har ydet et kæmpe bidrag til at fremme massageværdier i Danmark og verden. Der kunne siges meget om dette bidrag og om hans egenskaber som professionel og som person. Måske allervigtigst er, at Jeppe Tengbjerg er en inspiration og et forbillede. Jeg har taget både grunduddannelsen, skadesterapeut, thai yoga massage samt sundhedsfaglig grunduddannelse hos tengbjerg massørskole og jeg er så tilfreds. Man lærer utrolig meget på kurserne og underviserne er så kompetente! Hvis man overvejer at blive massør, kan jeg på det kraftigste anbefale at man smutter til Næstved! :-)
