Latest participant at the World Championship in Massage is Christopher Cassar from Malta. IMA has asked him to tell about himself.
My massage passion had been triggered during a martial arts workshop in my teenage years where the master had shown us some self massage techniques to avoid and treat injuries. I quickly became interested in the effectiveness of manual therapy and in 2004, my passion had become a profession where I worked as a freelancer on a part time basis. My style was mostly based on Shiatsu and Swedish massage techniques.
In 2013, I received the best therapeutic massage I ever received in Malta. It was Thai massage. I quickly fell in love with the Thai Massage system which lead me to further my studies in Thailand.
I studied with various teachers in Thailand, however, Chetawan Thai Massage school is where I received my Internationally recognised qualification – Watpo Thai Traditional Massage School.
The International Massage Association look forward watching Christopher Cassar skills at the World Championship in Massage 2019 in Copenhagen.
