Latest Massage Therapist signing up for the 8^th World Championship in Massage in Copenhagen is Carlos Sánchez from Colombia. The International Massage Association has asked him to tell about himself:

My name is Carlos Sánchez and I am from Colombia here, I am a holistic healer with over 20 years of experience. My passion for wellness led me to train in massage therapy, complementing my Reiki knowledge.

For nearly 40 years, I lived in Venezuela, where I developed my career as a holistic healer. After moving to Medellin, Colombia, I updated my skills and obtained massage therapy certifications to practice legally in the country.

Currently, I own my Therapeutic Massage Center in Medellin. Alongside a team of 5 massage therapists and 2 cosmetologists, we offer a wide range of services, including therapeutic, sports, and deep tissue massages.

In addition to our hands, we use tools such as wood therapy, scrapers, cupping, corozo cane, dry needling, and biopuncture at trigger points to enhance the results of our treatments.

At the therapy center, we seek to generate well-being for both the local population and the foreign visitors who choose us throughout the year.

My Massage:

My approach is rooted in a passion for well-being and a commitment to professionalism in every massage. I administer a therapeutic massage ranging from medium to deep pressure, adapting the intensity to each client’s individual needs. My slow, precise movements allow me to thoroughly explore each muscle, identifying and alleviating discomfort, or effectively reducing pain.

The therapeutic massage encompasses the entire body, from the glutes to the head, and from the glutes to the feet. I begin with the client in a prone position, focusing on the lower back and glutes, then moving upward towards the neck, trapezius, and scapulae, paying particular attention to the latter area, where tension is often most pronounced.

On the legs, the pressure is moderate, adjusting to the client’s pain tolerance. After completing the massage in the prone position, the client turns over to receive the massage in a supine position. I start with the legs, continuing towards the arms, and concluding with a gentle facial and neck massage. My goal is to provide a unique and transformative massage experience, where each client feels refreshed and revitalized

I had the honor of participating in the 7th Massage Competition held in Copenhagen, Denmark, last June about 250 over participants from 50 over countries.During this event, I encountered numerous massage therapists who profoundly inspired me till now, we made connectionson social media, learning new techniques from them as well.The competition venue was expansive and expertly designed to accommodate all categories of massage.Mr. Jeppe, my greatest idol, was exceptionally engaged throughout the event. Jeg mødte Jeppe Tengbjerg for første gang ved det første World Massage Championship i 2017. Siden da har vi krydset veje mange gange, i forskellige samarbejder relateret til massageverdenen: internationale konkurrencer, danske konkurrencer, kurser, workshops, seminarer, masterclasses mv. . Her var Jeppe skaberen, arrangøren eller i det mindste var han en væsentlig faktor i dannelsen af disse værdifulde platforme for uddannelse, inspiration og promovering, for alle dem, der er involveret i massageverdenen, både som massageudbydere og som massageforbrugere.Jeppe har ydet et kæmpe bidrag til at fremme massageværdier i Danmark og verden. Der kunne siges meget om dette bidrag og om hans egenskaber som professionel og som person. Måske allervigtigst er, at Jeppe Tengbjerg er en inspiration og et forbillede. Jeg har taget både grunduddannelsen, skadesterapeut, thai yoga massage samt sundhedsfaglig grunduddannelse hos tengbjerg massørskole og jeg er så tilfreds. Man lærer utrolig meget på kurserne og underviserne er så kompetente! Hvis man overvejer at blive massør, kan jeg på det kraftigste anbefale at man smutter til Næstved! :-)
